Re: Trevor
Cheers Wurzel & David. Caught my first sight of a male OT today. Too busy to land though. But it's a start! Hi Trevor, I've been seeing them in Wiston for a week now. Very flighty though in the wall to wall sunshine. Managed to get a couple of pics today when the weather was a bit more hazy. Ch...

Re: Wood White - Favourite Photo of 2024
This is my favourite Wood White photo taken in 2024. It was in Chiddingfold Forest, May 13th, at 4pm on a dull and cloudy afternoon. I have learnt over the years that this is the best weather for WW photos. If it's sunny they just bimble around constantly and rarely settle. The flower is called Herb...

Re: Winter social 2024
Unfortunately Saturday November 30th is also the date of the Sussex Butterfly Conservation AGM and Members Day
I believe it was the same date last year so I will ask the organisers of the Sussex BC AGM if they could pick another date next year.
Cheers

Daneway Banks 2024
Hi,
Does anyone know if the Large Blue is still flying at Daneway Banks? I'm thinking of going there on Tuesday.
Thanks..

Re: Trevor
Cheers Dave. It was the superb weather that persuaded me to visit today. If you remember it was towards the end of September last year when we enjoyed all that LTB action. Only two, possibly three Cloudies present today. Hi Trevor, I saw a Clouded Yellow at Herstmonceux yesterday. It stopped briefl...

Hi Neil, I've just see an extraordinary rant on Facebook about how the Whitehawk LTB's are released every year: Screenshot 2023-08-20 at 19.08.20.jpg I trust your judgement far more than his. Have you ever had cause to believe that the LTB at Whitehawk are releases? Cheers John W p.s. I saw an LTB a...

Grayling New Forest sites
Hi everyone,
I believe that the Grayling is found in the New Forest. Can anyone give me specific details of a site? Preferably one with parking not too far away!
Thanks in advance..

Re: Lulworth Skipper sites
Thanks everyone for the advice. I visited Corfe Castle on June 8th and found plenty around the NT car park area. The weather was hot and breezy so not ideal for photography but I got a couple of acceptable photos.

Lulworth Skipper sites
Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a Lulworth Skipper site that does not involve steep climbing? I have asthma and arthritis in my right ankle so I am not really capable of long walks or steep ascents. Maybe somewhere there is a car park at the top of a hill? Thanks in advance.
Cheers
