I found all of the attached butterflies on a trip to Albania from 26/9 to 2/10/17. Based in Tirana with all the butterflies being seen at Durres on the coast except for the fritillary which was seen on Mount Dajti overlooking Tirana.
ID'd as male common blue, grizzled skipper, mallow skipper, silver washed fritillary, Mediterranean skipper, gatekeeper and large skipper but not 100% sure, limited information on Albanian butterflies available.
Any help greatly appreciated
Stuart

Re: Albanian Butterflies
Hi Stuart. Your first butterfly is a meadow brown - from your list I think you might have thought it was a gatekeeper. Your 'grizzled skipper' is Oberthür's grizzly and your last skipper, I think, is pygmy skipper.

Many thanks (had brain freeze with the meadow brown!)
Re: Albanian Butterflies
Is your other skipper a Mallow? Certainly looks a candidate to me, although the intense, variegated colour pattern could suggest Tufted Marbled Skipper?
