Just a heads up that Wild Britain on ITV tomorrow evening is going to be about the Isle of Wight and there will be a (probably too brief) mention of Glanville Fritillaries. Could be worth watching.

It was on at 8pm but if you had blinked you would have missed the butterflies as they were on so briefly.

The bit about the 4 year abundance cycle because of a parasitic wasp was news to me so although it was brief I did actually learn something!

The whole series has been worth watching. Certainly worth catching up with on the 'itvplayer' if you missed any episodes. I do not think it was that well publicised. When I stumbled upon it a few weeks ago on episode 4, I sat down and watched the previous 3 all in one go.
I have certainly learnt something new on each one. They all have Ray Mears' particular flavour. I particularly enjoyed the one on Salisbury Plain, which also featured butterflies, briefly.
I am not sure how many more there are in the series. I am surprised it has not been mentioned on here before.
