Isle of Mull

I lived on Mull 2012-15 and I always thought that Chequered Skipper must occur on the island.   I was reasonably familiar with CS habitat requirements, having seen it in several places on the mainland, but never had any luck on Mull.

Now a Google search reveals that CS has indeed been seen on Mull at a "remote site".  My failed searches were along the east coast of the island, a short distance from the mainland.

I have seen some hints as to where CS might be on Mull, and that is not where I had been searching.  The hints suggest a more inland location, a site shared with Golden Eagles. (White-tailed Eagles are on the opposite side of the loch).

I have no plans to see Chequered Skipper on Mull, (perhaps next June near Fort William) but if anyone can throw light on the Mull sightings, please drop me a PM.  I am just so curious (and to a degree, annoyed that I didn't find them).
