Starting 2020

Post by P.J.Underwood »

After lockdown we are finally going out. Yesterday to Noah Hill and probably saw one of the last Dukes there,as all the cowslips were finished. Then today a walk in Botany Bay to the Triangle produced the largest number of Wood Whites that I have seen for some time-about 20.Unfortunately due to the heat and their continual activity it was almost impossible to get a good photo.

Looking forward to our annual meet up in a couple of weeks, Philip.
Good to hear of a strong Spring Wood White brood.

    Stay safe and well,
    Trevor.

Good to hear from you, Philip. :) There did seem to be a really good first brood of Wood Whites when I went down there recently too. Looking forward to the annual gathering as Trevor mentions - I suspect it may be on the early side this year by the way things have been going. :)

    All the best,

    Dave

Nice to see you back, PJ.

I think if you wish to observe the Wood Whites you might have to earmark an early start - seems like unbroken sunshine and warm temperatures for at least another week.
