Kew gardens poster

Post by Ian Pratt »

Hi,
Can anyone ID this butterfly seen on a poster at Kew Gardens yesterday? I have an idea of what it may be. Thanks in advance.

Looks looks a Twin Spot Fritillary.

Agreed. Not a butterfly likely to be seen in a UK garden ... :D

Then again, it's an international garden photograph exhibition.

Thank you both. I was right with my ID from Tristan Lafranchis's book.😄😄

Hecate it is. Interesting choice of species.
