Which skipper?

Post by Deborah »

Not a great photo. But this butterfly has been around a lot today. Possibly just the one (or two). I’m guessing it’s a Skipper?
Any help would be appreciated, even if it’s very common as it’s a new arrival in my garden!

Yes, Mallow Skipper it must be given the location.

Tufted Marbled is principally a butterfly of the mountain regions further south.

Thanks to both of you. I know (now) that the Mallow skipper is definitely here. Glad to be adding it to my fortnightly tally of species to https://www.sciences-participatives-au-jardin.org/
