Tour leaders and participants of butterfly-watching tours ( or wildlife trips in which butterflies are a major element ) are invited to submit trip reports for publication on http://www.learnaboutbutterflies.com.
Reports should follow the same format as those already published - consisting of about 1000 words describing the itinerary, sites and major species of interest. Please note that reports will only be published if supplied with a full species list ( scientific names ), preferable in the form of an Excel ( .xls ) file with columns for family, genus, species and site.
By publishing these reports I aim to help butterfly-watching enthusiasts to plan their trips, and to build up accurate species lists that will be of value to conservation organisations.
Trip reports have already been published for Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Trinidad, Venezuela, Kenya, Ghana, West Malaysia, Borneo, Hungary and France. Further reports from these countries are welcome, as are reports of trips to North America, Mexico, Australia, Thailand, India and anywhere in Europe.
