I have to wonder whether Peacocks on Mull breed exclusively on nettles. Although nettles certainly do occur here, they are not ubiquitous* as they are in England.Aha! So that's what happened to all of the Peacocks! That makes sense, thanks. (I had to look up the meaning of estivation though)
