Astorga-Santiago - the rest
Astorga-Santiago - the rest
Here are the skippers. I'm unsure of the Pyrgus - the others should be right (the file names again...).
Re: Astorga-Santiago - the rest
And finally the long shot: the cats and a micro moth. No idea here, except that the green cat might be S. pavonia.
Re: Astorga-Santiago - the rest
Just a note to the previous: The first cat is Proserpinus proserpina and the the micro is Ecpyrrhorrhoe rubiginalis.
Guy, could you take a look at the Pyrgus...

Re: Astorga-Santiago - the rest
Hi JKT. Browsing on my iPad (from Spain) I don't see the filenames. But the Pyrgus looks most like carthami to me. If that is right, it will have looked very large, especially in flight. The first skipper is Spialia sertorius, as I'm sure your filename says!

Re: Astorga-Santiago - the rest
I had guessed on P. armoricanus. It was larger than P. malvae - roughly between P. alveus and P. andromedae.
Yep, the Spialia was rather obvious considering there is only one species in Spain. Other names were T. sylvestris, M. cinxia, M. phoebus and P. icarus. It didn't occur to me the names wouldn't be visible for mobile browsing.
