Happy Christmas 2010
I have not been able to get on-line for a while, mainly due to snow-related issues, so take this opportunity to wish everybody on UKB a very Merry Christmas. Also the hope that this weather has benefits for the butterflies that we will see in the Spring. I have particularly high hopes for Denbies Hillside (Surrey) which I will be exploring for the first time and am looking forward to the continuing development of Rowland Wood (Sussex).
(Zonda - have been loving your festive bird photos. Can we see your Goldfinch again please).

A really happy Christmas to everyone on this site.
I send you all virtual hugs.
And a particularly brilliant Christmas the the kind person that has sent me a Christmas present.
I know it is from someone on this site as it is adressed to Rogerdodge, and I don't use that name anywhere else.
I don't know what it is yet, or who it is from, as the missus won't let me open it until Christmas morning.........spoil sport.

Some lovely pictures there but I want to know how many snowballs Gruditch had to throw on the pony's back to produce that effect?

Well,
The present was from my excellent friend NickB, and is one of his renowned personalised T shirts. Also a small botanical specimen of great interest.
Thanks Nick - you are a star. See you in April.

Re: Happy Christmas 2010
Sorry Gary. My wife points out that it's not a pony but a donkey. To add to a previous comment on the thread: "What a silly ass"...the pony...
