Hi all, Just back from a holiday in Spain, The Butterflies were hard to locate but after putting in lots of effort i was finally rewarded with some new species, Plain Tiger, lots of Two Tailed Pasha and a Southern White Admiral were the best of the bunch.
I cant work out the Butterfly in picture 1 but it looks like a Grayling of some sort.
2 and 3 are Great Banded Grayling , i think?
4 is a Bath White ??.
5 looks like a Southern White Admiral.
Steve.
Edit.. Just worked out 1 , its a Striped Grayling..
September in Barcelona.

Re: September in Barcelona.
Nice pictures - and I'm sure you're right about the striped grayling. It's worn and not nearly as black and white as they usually look, but the pattern is right. Like all graylings, they give away a lot of ID hints when they fly.
The other IDs are all correct (I only say that because you put question marks!).
