Re: European Butterflies Magazine
Scott Richardson has continued his articles about butterflies found on his farm in South Africa.
He takes a look at the Charaxes species found and describes their behaviour and habitats.
Specific interesting behaviours include hill-topping, feeding on dung, particularly carnivore, such as Leopard, and feeding on sap runs.
Key species found include: Bushveld, Pearl-spotted, Dusky, Foxy and Green-veined Charaxes.
The magazine has been drafted now and sent to my designer - hopefully ready as usual by the end of March.

Re: European Butterflies Magazine
Looking forward to reading it, as ever!
Re: European Butterflies Magazine
Just read it from cover to cover.
Excellent edition, Jason - the best yet I reckon!
I particularly enjoyed the Bavaria article by Markus, David's account of Romania, and Mario's North Macedonia report.
More areas to add to my "to visit" list...

Re: European Butterflies Magazine
I read my copy yesterday also, all in one sitting. Like Pete, I really enjoyed the Germany article. I knew very little previously about what was written. Very interesting indeed.
Cheers as ever for taking the time to collate and publish such an excellent publication.

Many thanks

Re: European Butterflies Magazine
The magazine has been printed now - price from me direct is £10.00, including postage.
Pemberley Books have their copies now, if you prefer to order from them.
Pemberley Books inform me they still have copies of Issue Seven - 2024, if you would like a copy. (I have sold all mine).
