Post by Essex Bertie »

This photograph from Essex, 2017 has been re-examined (by Simon Wood) and is now thought to be a Scarce Tortoiseshell. Do others agree, please?

Given all of the features of the upperside that are usually highlighted, I would have to agree that, on balance, this appears to be a Scarce Tort!
