Four butterflies I can't identify

Post by Lon22 »

Hi All,

I recently found these four butterflies in images I'd taken with my phone a while ago, but can't identify them.

Could you help?

Hi there -
These look like classic butterfly house species to me….
Clockwise from top left: Morpho peleides, Siproeta stelenes, Parthenos sylvia and Idea leuconoe.

Cheers -

In case it helps, I've been cataloguing the butterflies I've seen at the Papiliorama, near Kerzers in Switzerland. Most, but certainly not all, of the species you will find in tropical butterfly houses around Europe should be on my page. I know they're not all there because I visited just yesterday and saw three species that I haven't had time to include yet!

If all the pictures don't load, just reload the page. There are a lot of pictures for one page if the internet connection is slow.
