Identification help - Hautes Alps, France

Post by Part timer »

Hi all

I've just finished sorting through photographs taken on a trip to the Hautes Alps in France in the first couple of weeks of June and I'm left with a few identification challenges.

The location and altitude (Brunissard at 1570m) might suggest Mountain Dappled White for the first, but I don't really know.

The fritillary I think is Small Pearl-bordered but I'd be grateful for confirmation or otherwise.

Finally, the chequered wing edges on the lycaenid initially suggested Adonis Blue, but the lack of cell spot and well-developed lunules on the uph make me think otherwise. There were certainly Amanda's Blue in the locality, but I'm wondering whether this one may be Escher's?

Any opinions or suggestions welcome.

Cheers, Rupert
