I'm no expert with larvae, Owen, but I have to say I don't think this looks like a butterfly early stage.

I wonder if its a Small Emerald larvae ( Hemistola chrysoprasaria ) which has very similar double pronged "head gear "

The head is similar to emerald isn’t it. I’ll put it down as moth sp. then. Thank you both
