Newbie here - need identification

Can anyone tell me what this is. Spotted on Devils Dyke NT

just north of Brighton (lots of them about) think its a Pearl-Bordered Fritillary. But hey what do I know I'm a birder :D

It's a Dark Green Fritillary, Pearl's are an April/May butterfly and significantly smaller the the big ginger beasties you were watching :)
