Bright Green Eggs
It's probably not a butterfly, but does anyone know what might have laid these bright green eggs on my dwarf Buddleia?
Re: Bright Green Eggs
Hi Stevie,
These are the eggs of Palomena prasina (Green Shield Bug). Not a butterfly I'm afraid but an interesting insect none-the-less. Here is a link to a Wikipedia page on the species:-

Cheers,
Phil.

Thanks for that Phil. Very interesting. I've seen the adults in my garden before.

You're welcome Stevie, I love bugs almost as much as butterflies!
Take care,
Phil.
