The lifecycle of the Spurge Hawk Moth

Post by PhilM »

Here is a post on my website that links to an absolutely captivating video of the life cycle of Hyles euphorbiae (Spurge Hawk Moth). Fifteen minutes that you won't be able to take your eyes from the screen!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Cheers,
Phil.

You are very welcome Tony. I found this video utterly fascinating from beginning to end. Beats watching normal TV anytime. I just wish it was longer. It's amazing how many colour variations there are in the larval stages of the Spurge Hawkmoth, which is an occasional immigrant to central southern England although it hasn't bred here since the 1800s. Eyes peeled!

Cheers for now,
Phil.
