No chance of persuading Paul Browning to reprint his wonderful book 'Butterflies of the Iberian Peninsula', but he generously agreed to update it and provide it as a free electronic resource, which can be accessed via this link on the EBG website:

Butterflies of The Iberian Peninsula
Re: Butterflies of The Iberian Peninsula
Superb - thanks David
Re: Butterflies of The Iberian Peninsula
Excellent David. Many thanks for the link.
Hopefully I'll be able to put it to good use next June (fingers crossed!)

Re: Butterflies of The Iberian Peninsula
Whereabouts are you hoping to go, Stevie?
Re: Butterflies of The Iberian Peninsula
David, not that exciting really. Holiday to Tossa de Mar, Catalonia. Just dipping my toe into the somewhat overwhelming (to me) butterfly species of Spain.
I intend to head for the hills which will hopefully be a gentle introduction to the local Lepidoptera!!

Re: Butterflies of The Iberian Peninsula
The hills of NE Spain are amongst the best butterfly habitat in all of Iberia, Stevie. Two things to look out for - long grass and water....that's really all you need. At that latitude, it doesn't matter whether it's south-facing (except in early spring).
Re: Butterflies of The Iberian Peninsula
Thanks David, duly noted. Be prepared for some id requests though!

Re: Butterflies of The Iberian Peninsula
I shall look forward to that, Stevie.

Re: Butterflies of The Iberian Peninsula
I see that he has managed to track down cinarae since the last edition.
