ID help Small Pearl Bordered Fritillary?

Post by Deborah »

Hi. Is this a SPB Fritillary? Hope so as it’s a first for me in the garden! Even if it’s something else I won’t be sorry as it’s still new to me. Any help appreciated.

Looks like a Heath Fritillary although where you are there may be some similar related species. It's not a SPBF though.

Great! Thanks a lot. I’m moving over to ‘sightings’ now :D I’ve just checked in my ‘Guide Atlas des Rhopaloceres’ and it’s not that common here, even though it should be as we’ve got everything it needs!
