Thanks for your posts Wurzel and David, I was in the Garden this afternoon Wurzel and the Bone Meal did the trick again
We use to have a Dog David, she was a cross between a German Shepherd and a Labrador she looked more Shepherd than Lab, she also had a lovely nature, I don't know if she'd have been so friendly with hen's though,

Sheba thought any thing that had four legs and moved had to be played with.
Today I actually made it to Brockholes

when I got there the gates were shut, the Car Park closed, there's two separate roads at Brockholes, one to go in and one to exit, having planned on this visit for so long and having been stuck at home for so long I was not going to go back, I turned the car round and parked on the Exit road with the other car's, nobody was there at the time so I set off up the road.
When your in the car you don't realise just how far a walk will be

I'd my walking stick for guidance

When I finally reached the part where I'd seen the Common Blue before, at first I saw nothing, then has I walked through the tall grass and flowers I spotted them

It felt great to be out

I also saw a rather nicely marked GVW.
I stayed for a couple of hour's having gone early I returned home about lunch time, it was absolutely roasting in the Garden so I put the Sun shade up and had just settled down when I saw a flash of bright yellow, I couldn't believe my eyes, a Brimstone on the Bowles Mauve

It landed right in the middle of the plant

I did my best with the shots

I also managed another Large White,
Later two Holly Blue flew through but didn't stop, hope fully they'll be back
