Fritillary(?) Identification

Post by niltava42 »

Never seen one of these on a buddleia before. Is it possible to id from these cropped phone pictures?

This was next to a main road in Oxfordshire this afternoon.

Thanks

Nick

They're pretty fond of buddleia, although they tend not to venture too far from woodland.

Thanks both.

There are some mature trees alongside the road but not exactly woodland :)
