Caterpillar ID
Hi, I have found this little fellow on my half-eaten echium pininana and would quite like to move it to a different plant, but I know nothing about caterpillars and haven't been able to ID it despite looking at scores of pics. I live near Bournemouth if that is useful.
(That's a centimetre scale btw)
Grateful for any help, Martin. (PS, I put it back after the photo shoot)-

Re: Caterpillar ID
Success! Looks as though it is a Jersey tiger moth but don't know where it's got to now.
I will just write some keywords in the hope they may help someone else Googling, if that's OK: hairy orange ginger rusty bronze black banded stripey striped New Forest Solent South Coast moth butterfly larva
I have some more pics but none very photographic; just say if you'd like to see.
This is the web site that sorted me out: http://www.jasonsteelwildlifephotograph ... -moths.php
