Larva ID needed

Larva ID needed

This larva was accidentally brought in on Oak leaves. Anyone know what it might be please?

Hello Pauline ,
pretty sure its a moth ,and the closest picture I can find is this one of an early instar Sycamore (acronicta aceris ) ,proper stunning as they get bigger ! Regards Allan.W.

Hello Again Pauline ,
I,ve just seen another image of a larvae ,which looks more like your larvae and that is Black Arches ,and it feeds on Oak !.
Regards Allan.W. yours I reckon isn't fully grown.

Hi Allan, thanks for this. I think you are right but sadly it has now stopped eating the Oak and looks like it is shrinking. Not looking good :(
