Hello, I wonder if anyone can identify this rather worn butterfly which crashed at my feet in NE Corfu on 19/4/19. This was at sea level, warm and within a stunning olive grove. The butterfly was quite lively but was unable to fly very far. I thought perhaps a Southern Comma or Large Tortoiseshell.
I saw quite a few species in the area, some yet to be identified so I may well post a few more pictures. Regards, Patrick.

Hi Pat. Yes, this is a female large tortoiseshell, now living out her dotage.
