Pyrgus poser...

Another pyrgus from the French Alps in early July, I'm afraid.

This one was around 1800m and whilst the underside appears like serratulae, I can't reconcile myself to the upperside for the same:

No - I don't like that for serratulae. I think it's in the alveus, armoricanus, belieri group - and I think I'd plump for alveus.

Might all look different in the morning ... :D

Thanks, Guy. I'll take another closer look (these comparisons hurt the eyes) bearing in mind your advice.
