Could someone please identify these two dragonflies and one bug (shield bug?) for me. Seen in the Alpes-Maritimes at about 200 meters altitude.

Hi Colin
Your first dragonfly looks like a female Large Pincertail (Blue-eyed Hooktail) - Onychogomphus uncatus with the blue eyes.
The second is a darter and has blue on the lower half of the eyes so possibly a Red-veined Darter - Sympetrum fonscolombii
No real idea on the bug except it may be some time of Harlequin Shield Bug.

....and the bug is Eurydema ornata, the Ornate Shieldbug, a recent colonist of the south coast of England.
