I have a mating pair of common blue. These were selflessly pointed out to me by Denise whose camera battery had died, so she had to wait in frustration as I snapped them. Thanks Denise. You'll get other opportunities I'm sure.

Ok now things are really starting to hot up with new species popping up all over the place. First decent evening in ages and I couldn't resist making the 2 hour round trip last night to photograph these amazing Small Pearl Border Fritillaries from Mid-Sussex that I saw for the first time ever over the bank holiday weekend

Common blue on plantain in Dorset. Pretty sharp which I like. Interesting to see what the rest of the month brings!

Went for a walk down a small woodland near me called the spinny and found this rather nice speckled wood who happilly let me take quite a few photos
