Hi all,
I had previously though this to be L.petropolitana but now I am having second thoughts.
I don't have any better images I am afraid. The image was taken in the Rila mountain region(not very high up) in July.
any help appreciated - ta!

I just had a quick browse at Padfields excellent website for European butterflies and this looks like meara based on the absence of a wavy discal line across the hindwing as far as I can see:

It made me realise I need to do a lot of updating! I have a lot more photos of petropolitana now.
