And another seen on the seafront at Lancing, West Sussex by Dan Norris on 15th January. Reported on Sussex BC branch website under that date http://www.sussex-butterflies.org.uk/sightings.html
These sightings and others in late December 2015 suggest that a small influx of these butterflies has taken place.

The assumption seems to be that an influx has occurred - but how do we know that some of these haven't "overwintered".
