April 2008 Entries - Open
Re: April 2008 Entries - Open
Another switch. This speckled wood presented itself with a nice diffuse background so I'll go with it for now. Besides, it's my first butterfly snapped with my new Sony A700.

Male Orange Tip resting!
Re: April 2008 Entries - Open
Peacock dangling precariously upside down from a bluebell. Despite less than perfect focus I picked this for its comedy value.

Compare the Orange Tip - http://piccies.flybywire.org.uk/Butterf ... geTip3.jpg - which is much more elegant. I also had no idea before today Orange Tips liked Bluebells!

Re: April 2008 Entries - Speckled Wood
In the light of the fantastic GH shot by FISHiEE - (nice lighting - do I detect a hint of fill-in flash?) changed to this one from Mill Road Cemetery yesterday morning.

Thanks Charles. There were loads of them in France and really photographer friendly unlike the British ones. I even have pics of one on my finger!
