A warm and sunny day here in my Somerset garden brought some success with Two Peacocks, two brimstones, first Small White and a Small Tortoiseshell.
Best year of flowering for my Osmanthus burkwoodii for many years, giving a wonderful delicate perfume.

Small Whites.
A good year for second brood Small Whites and the occasional Large Whites,in my garden.
This morning my wife drew my attention to a cluster of caterpillars on Radish plants that I had allowed to run wild, is this a normal food plant for this species? .

The Little Grebe doesn't seem to pass up the chance of a meal .
A dainty little bird, I've spent hours watching these cute little characters fishing, they are great fun to watch.

No experience with bears but regarding Wild Boar/Sangliers, here are three pictures of these critters taken with my 500+1.7 converter at a "safe" distance, I also much prefer my encounters with them on the dinner plate. take care.
