Nettle-tree Butterfly

Although not on the British List, this species is the subject of a wonderful 14 minute video which follows the life cycle of this unusual butterfly. All filming was done in the wild by VarWild.

Fascinating footage of a butterfly that is in my top 5 wish list to see.
All these recordings are superb. They deserve a wider audience.

NTB has just spread to warmest parts of southern Slovakia. I'm looking to welcome the butterfly right in front of my doorstep in about 50 years

Wow! I'm glad I saw that on tape rather than live because I think I might have gone into cardiac arrest!
Incredible footage. Hundreds of them puddling in close proximity to one another.
