This was the programme i saw a breeder releasing his Fritillary
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00cskdd
seemed totally freelance kinda thing
from what I can gather this kind of thing happens all over the place so what are the legal issues with breeding?

There was a Butterfly Conservation person present when he was releasing the Heath Fritillaries so I would assume his breeding and release activities are "approved" by BC.

My dad phoned me yesterday to tell me that was on and I thought what a cracking little programme it was. I really enjoyed it.
