Some Sheffield shots.

Finally managed some reasonable photos - it's been a frustrating year so far, with spare time and good photography condiditions seldom coinciding. However, an hour's stroll round the local fields produced these:-
An extremely tatty Small Tort


Lots of Speckled Woods about. This one well camouflaged amongst the leaf litter.

Whilst this one, for a change, seemed to enjoy being photographed!




This Red Admiral was aggressively guarding his territory, dashing out from this perch to chase away any intruders.




I think this patch of nettles was what he was guarding!?


A very freshly emerged Green Veined White.

And finally, one of the huge numbers of Micro-Moths gathered around the Gorse blossom.
