I'm selling my trusty Sigma 105mm macro. The lens with which all of my gallery pics on this site were taken. It's in good condition for year, and is boxed, with a case, lens hood, and 81A warm-up filter. Compatable with all Nikon bodies, and still gives good results. It's a bit aged now, and slightly noisier autofocus than more modern lenses. I purchased it in Jan. 2002 (secondhand from Jessops) for £265. It's been replaced today, and £30 secures.

Panasonic Lumix FZ30 with 12x zoom

I have always been impressed with the images produced by the Panasonic Lumix FZ range with their Leica lenses. So at the end of September, I bought a Panasonic FZ30 (similar to that used by Sussex Kipper to produce his superb photos, but the FZ30 has more megapixels). In a fit of enthusiasm, at the same time, I bought two spare battery packs and a set of close-up lenses. One major advantage over similar bridge cameras is the larger size of the sensor, (7.6 x 5.7 mms) which means less noise as each pixel is bigger
Then I realised I had made a mistake. The camera is fine and in very good condition. But I hadn’t bargained for the problems that my arthritis (Ankylosing spondylitis) - back and neck in particular - would cause when actually trying to use the camera. It is heavy and I couldn't live with the weight round my neck (OK, a harness-strap would minimise that). Moreover, I couldn’t use the camera at arm’s length (as I do with my lighter weight Canons). With my personal physical limitations , I just couldn’t contort into the positions necessary for good results.

Also included battery charger, three battery packs, 2 Gb SD card, set of four close up lenses. Original box, installation CD (not needed and never opened), connecting leads, Operating manual (almost need a PhD to understand!)

I don't think it could be called a beginner's camera (although does have a point and shoot mode) but in the right hands is capable of excellent results.

Hi all,

I'm looking for a Canon BP-511 battery pack to fit an EOS D10.

I got the camera second hand in July last year, the battery was fine and would last all day.

However just recently the charged time has dropped dramatically to not much more than a couple of hours and that will be no good when spring returns!

Would anyone have one to sell?
