Peacock: second brood caterpillars

A friend of mine sent me a photo taken today of a nest of 50 or so Peacock Caterpillars. Going by the date, I would guess these are a second brood and the butterflies from them are unlikely to appear much before the end of the month.
Seen at Bowling Green Marsh Nature Reserve, Topsham, Devon.
