Common Snowberry, Native to North America
.
There was a Nymphalidae butterfly with larval dependancy on Snowberry in the USA called:
Chalcedon Checkerspot.
“Third- and fourth-stage caterpillars hibernate under rocks or in litter.”

My conclusion in latest update, from someone else’s Snowberry findings:
According bio someone else, although the UK native Limenitis camilla might eat the leaves of Snowberry at larval stage, with Snowberry being the Caprifoliaceae family, like honeysuckle, it might be of doubtful help at camouflaged over-wintering, highly evolved hibernating stage, on native honeysuckle, pending further life cycling research, or someone else’s evidence.
Kind Regards
Limenitis camilla & non UK native Snowberry
