Hi
Is anyone able to confirm if one of these recent bad photos from Durlston CP Swanage is a Lulworth? Ranger confirmed they are already active. Thanks

Yes looks good for a male Lulworth. It's a bit early for Small and Essex.

First Small Skippers were out a couple of days ago. High Brown Frits are also out. It must be mid-June already
Cheers,

Thanks. 4 diff individuals there. Dorset BC had records of Small Skip nearby a few days previous so as I couldn’t find a female Lul with obvious rays I wasn’t sure, but thought coloration with all but the one looked like Lulworth. Even a hint of a pale patch through the underwing of the one which was tiny next to the Large Skip virtually next to it.

Time to do another update on all the flight times, I only saw my first Large skipper on Friday!

Look good for Lulworths to me - they've been out now for a (7th May the first was reported) - if they were Smessex they'd still be bright orange as they've only just appeared on the scene

I saw shed loads 11 days ago and some of those were already looking worse for wear.
Have a goodun and stay safe
