Hi All,

I was sent a photo of an old collection that will be used in a natural education discovery station for kids with learning difficulties and the sender would like some help with ID. Each has been numbered and kudos to the first person to get them all

It does, BB, although it's noticeably small in size. I'd expect both Chalkhill and Adonis females to be considerably larger.

I agree with Grey Pine Carpet and would suggest 51 & 67 are also Grey Pine Carpets

The Large Tort 'is an odd looking individual ,the wings (hind and fore ) on the right ,seem a lot smaller to me ,maybe its the way its been set
or perhaps its laying at an angle .

Hi all. I've just caught up with this thread; some very interesting observations.
David - 46 looks to be a female Chalk Hill Blue, but a dwarf specimen.
Allan - well spotted! I think the Large Tortoiseshell specimen is a very rare bilateral gynandromorph (female left side).

Yes Neil, there is a distinct lack of symmetry in the Large Tortoiseshell. Now that you have posted your comments I feel foolish for not even being in the slightest bit aware.
