So, you get False Ilex in your garden, Colin?

On my morning walk I saw a few Marbled Whites,
several Ilex Hairstreaks,
many Marbled Fritillaries, the first of the year, amidst the brambles to avoid my getting too close

,
many Heath Fritillaries,
and a few Spotted Fritillaries including this female.
Seen but no photos: many Cleopatras, a few Adonis Blues, several Provence Chalkhill Blues,
a few Blue-spot Hairstreaks, Meadow Browns and Pearly Heaths.

It's very hot here at present, but I did see a few butterflies yesterday and today. Marbled Whites were probably the most numerous. Here's one, and a close-up of its wing.
There were also many Cleopatras and a few Brimstones.
