Thanks for your feed back Wurzel, I wasn't sure of the egg laying with the first lot of shots either, I can't remember if it was a female or not I took so many shots :D glad you liked the second lot of shots I was pleased to see so many this year I hope they continue next year in the same way :D

Hi! David, the weather seems to have been a factor all this year David, too wet, too hot, not much in-between , i've planted a few more plants so hope fully next year if the Butterflies recover I'll see more in the garden. ( Fingers crossed :D ) Goldie :D

Too right, Goldie. Blowing a gale right now with heavy rain from this new storm. Hope it doesn't get too bad round your way.

Indeed, Goldie. Our estate looked quite apocalyptic the following morning, with small tree branches littering the place.

Think I'd rather have snow and ice than 65mph gales!

I'm sure you'll be seeing butterflies almost imminently, Goldie. Looking at the forecast, it could get to 15c later in the week.

Hello Goldie, I,m sure you,re aware ......but if you're not.............Large Torts are being recorded in Orlestone forest at the moment .....in several sections . As you're also probably aware last season a few were also noted in East Blean ,including full grown larvae ......It may be worth your while having a look around East Blean .......you could get lucky ! Good Hunting ! Allan.W.

Delighted to see that, Goldie. :)

Thanks Allan for the info , East Blean is on my list for the next place to visit, if, the weather starts to get better, I believe it's rain for the week-end.

Hi! Wurzel, it was certainly a nice surprise :D I went to Monkton NR today all I saw was one Peacock and a White couldn't make the White out too fast for me :D disappointing but made up for it with a cream tea. :D

Hi! David, has I said to Wurzel only saw the two Butterflies today, I saw no Brimstone at all to my surprise after one flying passed yesterday in my garden of all places, I need to get some thing planted to attract them to stay for a while :D At least I'm seeing Butterflies at last :D Goldie :D
