I won’t be going for number 50 today. When I was checking the weather yesterday, there seemed to be a slight chance of cloud lingering in the southeast corner of England. Sadly, that slight chance has now turned into a major probability and now it looks like being cloudy until after lunch. So it’s a stay-at-home day with no more than a little local butterflying if the sun does come out for long enough.

Re: Final countdown
Thank you all for your kind comments. Despite all the butterfly action over here I enjoy reading about what's going on back home (Suffolk is still my real home) more than you might imagine, and I have learnt enormously from the varied wealth of expertise on the forums. I make UKB my first port of call on the internet and check up on the latest (via iPhone) all the time when I'm sitting on trains or hanging around in a station bar! It certainly beats paying 6 francs for an English newspaper to read on the train...
No hurry, surely, Jack. The Silver-spotted skippers will be around for a while yet, and brown hairstreaks might make 51, I presume. We're enjoying a break from sun too here in CH - I might actually get a few things done today.
