You'll beat me for PBFs hands-down in the UK this year, ernie, as I'll be in Spain till 9th May and am not back home till late in the month.
I'll have to rely on the high-altitude ones in the Alps to get my fix this year!

Just a quick update re Pearls.
The count went up to 21 today. My best ever count for this species. Whilst most are fresh, one was a bit tired looking and had a damaged wing. The females I saw that were bothered by males were having none of it, fluttering their wings in the male's faces. I guess they had already mated so we must be approaching or at peak now.
