13th aniversary of the first moth flights count
A moth Orange Underwing (Archiearis parthenias) first flight and also it indicates that Spring time started at Bukovcevo as well.

Serhiy, you post this first sighting annually, and it always gives me a lift, as it's a precursor of butterflies emerging over here. :D

Given that's the earliest date for the first sighting of this species on your list, Serhiy, I'm assuming you are having a highly advanced season in your part of the world this year?

Yes, this year has a little bit longer vegetation period. Some of the garden whites has third generation here in Bukovcevo Butterfly Monitoring camp

Cracking Violet Copper - that's a species I'd love to see. Reading your reports makes me really regret not being 'into' Butterflies when I visited southern and western Poland 20+ years ago (I was too busy looking at the birds) :mrgreen:

Thanks, Serhiy. With virtually a whole season to reflect on, this doesn't surprise me. Things have been terrible all year in western Europe, but from the Balkans eastwards it has been the polar opposite.
