Yes, this year has a little bit longer vegetation period. Some of the garden whites has third generation here in Bukovcevo Butterfly Monitoring camp

Cracking Violet Copper - that's a species I'd love to see. Reading your reports makes me really regret not being 'into' Butterflies when I visited southern and western Poland 20+ years ago (I was too busy looking at the birds)

Thanks, Serhiy. With virtually a whole season to reflect on, this doesn't surprise me. Things have been terrible all year in western Europe, but from the Balkans eastwards it has been the polar opposite.
