She's a common blue. You did well to get these images of her in the act of laying.

I thought she was a Common because of her wing edges, but I'm not very familiar with Blues and have just discovered that I'd got their forewing markings muddled in my memory, so that wasn't helping! I was also a bit hesitant because I was reading that the Common Blue laid its eggs on leaves, rather than the flowers as this one seemed to prefer. Thanks again for your help - I've learnt so much from this site, I knew this was the place to post if I had a question!
