Vagrant - Favourite Photo of 2024

Vagrant - Favourite Photo of 2024

Week 20

Every year some unusual butterflies turn up; out of place, blown off course or exploring new territory. Unfortunately they don’t fit neatly into the usual Favourites threads and so this is the spot to share those images.

As in previous years details of locations, dates, times and circumstances would be welcome as would any accompanying stories and anecdotes or other observations of behaviour and interesting other points.

Have a goodun

Well, it's on the British list...

Couldn't decide between the Blue Pansy and the Slate Flash!
Both taken in Goa, November 2024.

When I first saw this photo on your original post David I thought it was stunning and I still do.

I'm surprised you didn't save it for your favorite.

Thanks, Steve. It's in the right category because it is certainly a vagrant as far as the UK is concerned.

There were a couple of others that gave me even greater pleasure in Europe during 2024 so I will post those on the overall favourites' thread.
