I photographed this Comma today in Tyne & Wear. It was grossly lighter than others flying on the same site. I have yet to see a f. hutchinsoni and would appreciate any advice re this one,

That is most certainly hutchinsoni. I think it is a gravid female - and females of the darker form (which I call starski) will obviously not be gravid at this time of year.
